Solihull Member of Parliament Lorely Burt has given the government's plans to extend licensing to 24 hours the thumbs down.
Voting against the government last night Lorely said "Most of the pubs in Solihull have licences that extend between 12am-3am. This can prolong the period which local results may be subjected to noise and other forms of anti-social behaviour."
"When this Government has succeeded in tackling this binge drinking and yob culture I will be very pleased to see pubs open for longer," Mrs Burt added.
