Local MP supports Green Week - BURT

Solihull Lib Dem MP, Lorely Burt, is calling on residents to 'think green' during Green Week which runs until the 5th June.
In an effort to encourage a greener Solihull, Lorely Burt is supporting schemes to supply cheap composters and water butts to Solihull homes.
Schemes offering subsidised home composting bins and water butts to local residents are currently being run through a partnership between the suppliers, Severn Trent Water and Solihull MBC.
Composting bins are available at a cost of £6 and water butts at a cost of £29.95. To order call 0870 849 4851 or by going to www.getcomposting.com/st.
Commenting on the campaign, Lorely Burt said,
"It is important that we do all we can in our homes to help the environment. I am encouraging residents to take advantage of schemes which are currently run in Solihull.
"Small steps like home composting and water conservation can make a big difference and help make Solihull a greener place to live."
