Lorely Burt MP with Paul Brabbins demonstrating the energy saving 'Ecoballast' boxes
The Solihull MP met with Roebuck Electronique Consultant, Paul Brabbins this week to see the energy efficiency savings of new fittings for fluorescent light tubes. The British invention is being trialled on streetlights and in offices, and could save millions as well as cut down dramatically on C02 emissions.
Lorely Burt MP said:
"The threat of global warming means we must look for every innovation possible to help save energy and cut down on harmful emissions. I was delighted that Paul came to demonstrate the device and I have been told that these systems can save up to 60% on energy costs.
"I am sure that parliamentary colleagues will be keen to see an evaluation of trials as this application has the potential to make massive savings on street and office lighting across the country."
