Massive response to Lorely's Law petition5.17.29pm GMT Mon 5th Dec 2005
Lorely Burt MP is receiving a massive response from Solihull constituents to her 'Lorely's Law' petition in her first biannual report. Mrs Burt's first Bill, nicknamed 'Lorely's Law', seeks to prevent Councils from selling off parkland and change planning regulations to curb the windfall development of green spaces. The Bill gets its second reading on 4th March. Lorely says "I have sent my petition to every household in Solihull and would like to thank everyone who has already pledged their support". If you would like to sign Lorely's petition, you still have time - just fill in the form on the yellow slip enclosed in your individual letter from Lorely and send it to Lorely Burt MP, Freepost LON 17707, Solihull, B91 3BR. Lorely added, "I very much hope MPs from all sides of the House will support this Bill. I am particularly keen that the Bill should achieve all party support".
