MP'S AWARD TO CHRISTMAS CARD DESIGN WINNER1.02.53pm GMT Mon 30th Nov 2009
Solihull's MP, Lorely Burt dropped in at Yew Tree Primary School in Solihull today to present a certificate to the winner of her Christmas card design competition, open to all primary school pupils in Solihull. The winning design was submitted by eight-year old Fayth Cannan, who received her winner's certificate and book token from Mrs Burt. "I was thrilled with the response and want to thank all the children from across Solihull who took part. There were some lovely designs which made it very difficult to choose a winner. Many of the entries will be on display at local libraries in the lead up to Christmas," said Lorely. Fayth's mum and dad, David and Alison Cannan were present at the school assembly to see the award. Fayth's design will be used for Mrs Burt's Christmas card and delivered by volunteers to homes across the Solihull constituency.
