MP PRAISES POSTAL STAFF ON CHRISTMAS VISIT TO SOLIHULL SORTING OFFICE2.34.06pm GMT Mon 14th Dec 2009
Solihull's MP, Lorely Burt made an early morning Christmas call to Solihull Sorting Office to see how Royal Mail staff are coping with the Christmas rush. "Traditional Christmas cards and parcels are reaching the peak period," said Lorely. "All the staff here in Solihull are doing a great job. They have been working flat out and won't stop until Christmas Eve." "There is an extra delivery for parcels this Sunday to help clear the backlog of Christmas gifts. The office is also open for extended hours until Christmas Eve to enable Solihull residents to collect undeliverable mail before or after work. The office will be open from 6.30am until 5.30pm weekdays and Saturday, and 10am until 4pm this Sunday."
